The Alabama State Powerlifting Championship is sanctioned by United States Powerlifting and Alabama Special Olympics. Proceeds from the event will go to support training for the Baldwin County ARC Special Olympics Athletes. This event will be an opportunity for competitors to set Alabama State Records, American Records, and qualify for National Powerlifting meets. They offer divisions from age 10-100 including Special Olympics, High School, Collegiate, Military, Police, Masters (age 40 and up) and the Open in both men and women. The event will feature about 35 Special Olympics Athletes from Alabama, Georgia, and other states in addition to many other competitors who will contest in many of the divisions.
